On the night of the wedding banquet, Chen Xu and Si Ye did not return to the main residence. Their wedding was held on a small island. It was heard that Si Ye bought the island himself when he was eighteen years old. Chen Xu thought about Si Ye’s eighteen-year-old self, compared to his own at eighteen, and felt that they were really incomparable.
Chen Xu drank a little wine in the evening. After taking a bath, he still felt a little tipsy. It was October now, and the weather was gradually getting cooler. Si Ye had someone prepare long-sleeved pajamas in the wardrobe. Chen Xu’s set was light gray, while Si Ye’s was black.
Looking at the sets of clothes in the wardrobe, Chen Xu suddenly realized that Si Ye liked to prepare everything in sets, in other words, Si Ye liked to prepare couple items for them, whether it was cups, toothbrushes, or pajamas.
After taking a bath and changing into the pajamas prepared by Si Ye, Chen Xu came out of the bathroom and noticed a cup of warm milk on the table, which should have been brought in while he was showering.
Chen Xu, who was originally a little nervous, suddenly relaxed all over when he saw this. Uncle Si really treated him like a child.
After drinking the milk and brushing his teeth, he took out his textbooks from the suitcase and lay on the bed to study. Perhaps he was the only one studying on his wedding night.
At half past eleven, Si Ye had not returned yet. Chen Xu, puzzled, put down the book in his hand and was about to go look for him. He was worried that Si Ye might have gotten drunk.
Just as he reached the door, it was pushed open by someone. Si Ye stood there, one hand on the door frame, his eyes as sharp as an eagle’s. But when he saw it was Chen Xu standing there, he instantly dropped his guard, and the light above his head shone on his face, casting a gentle glow in his eyes.
“Xiao Xu…” Si Ye took a step forward, and Chen Xu quickly reached out to support him and closed the door behind him.
Si Ye leaned against Chen Xu’s body, pressing him so much that Chen Xu couldn’t breathe properly. He reached out to push Si Ye’s shoulder, wanting to push him away a bit.
But the person enveloping him had no self-awareness at all. Instead of letting Chen Xu push him away, he hugged Chen Xu tightly, bending his back and resting his chin on Chen Xu’s shoulder.
Chen Xu and Si Ye pushed and pulled at the door, and they even sweated because of it. In the end, Chen Xu gave up and let Si Ye hold him like a piece of wood.
Perhaps realizing that Chen Xu hadn’t moved, Si Ye slightly raised his head and looked at Chen Xu in confusion. Chen Xu, who had been pushed against the doorframe, suddenly relaxed all over when he saw Si Ye. His eyes softened, giving his pupils a gentle glow.
“I’m so happy,” Si Ye said in a low, mellow voice.
Happy? What’s there to be happy about? This was just a fake wedding. What was there for Si Ye to be happy about?
According to Chen Xu’s understanding of Si Ye, he shouldn’t be the kind of person who would say he’s happy about something like this.
The answer lies only in the wedding.
Was he happy? Chen Xu looked up at the light above his head, smelling Si Ye’s scent between his nose, clean and refreshing, like the frost on the mountaintop, with a faint smell of alcohol. It wasn’t unpleasant; on the contrary, it made Chen Xu, who was already a little tipsy, even more intoxicated.
Si Ye let go of Chen Xu, who was lost in thought, and cupped his face, lowering his head.
Chen Xu stared blankly at Si Ye, his heart trembling.
His brain uncontrollably recalled Si Ye’s kiss on stage today, passionate and enticing.
The heat invaded him, and he nervously clenched his fists, subconsciously licking his dry lips, his eyes staring at Si Ye without blinking.
There were only the two of them here. They didn’t need to pretend anymore. He could completely push Si Ye away. He should push Si Ye away. They were in a fake marriage. They weren’t lovers. They didn’t love each other. And Si Ye was even his doting elder.
His fists clenched tighter, and his heart seemed to jump into his throat, until Si Ye’s kiss landed on his lips, and Chen Xu didn’t push him away.
Chen Xu’s eyes widened, and his eyelashes fluttered like small fans.
He stood still like a statue, until the wetness and itchiness that swept over his lips made him suddenly lose his senses. He didn’t understand what had just happened until his mind turned, realizing that it was Si Ye’s tongue just now, and his cheeks instantly flushed.
Si Ye withdrew his lips from Chen Xu’s and looked at him with eyes filled with mist, a hint of red spreading at the corners of his eyes, the utmost innocence and temptation. The beast in Si Ye’s chest suddenly woke up, and he took a step closer to Chen Xu, his thumb flicking over Chen Xu’s soft lips before parting them.
Forced to open his mouth, Chen Xu looked at Si Ye with trembling eyes, feeling the danger emanating from Si Ye. He wanted to escape, he should escape. The mist in his eyes grew thicker, and the storm in Si Ye’s eyes grew stronger.
“Be a good boy and close your eyes,” Si Ye said softly before kissing Chen Xu’s lips.
His voice was authoritative yet affectionate, and Chen Xu obediently closed his eyes. With his vision gone, his other senses became more acute. Si Ye’s kiss was no longer as gentle and careful as before; it was now forceful and domineering.
Chen Xu never knew a kiss could reach such an extreme, even making him feel like he was going to die.
His body was so weak that, in the end, he almost hung completely on Si Ye. Si Ye’s strong arms held him firmly, and behind him was the cold wall. But it couldn’t extinguish the wildfire between them; instead, the fire burned even more fiercely.
On this night, reason had long since retreated to wherever it came from. Chen Xu trembled in Si Ye’s arms, his fair face turning a faint pink, his eyelashes moistened by tears.
All his fear and excitement were accepted by Si Ye, who tenderly kissed his forehead, showing patience and affection.
—
…Next morning, Chen Xu woke up to the sun shining brightly, but there was no sign of Si Ye by his side. Rolling over, memories flooded back, reminding him of what happened last night.
His face flushed red in an instant.
Last night, Chen Xu hadn’t drunk to the point of blackout, so he remembered what he and Si Ye had done.
As the alcohol wore off and his rationality returned, Chen Xu felt like choking himself. What had he done? He had actually kissed Si Ye, not only kissed him but also allowed Si Ye to address some unspeakable needs that Chen Xu had always ignored.
He remembered trembling in Si Ye’s arms last night, even wetting Si Ye’s clothes with his tears.
Chen Xu, who had always been indifferent, for the first time realized how different his touch was from others’. It was so comfortable that it made him feel flustered, to the point of moistening his eyelashes.
Si Ye tenderly kissed his forehead and patiently comforted him, telling him to follow his desires without shame.
Was this normal?
It wasn’t until he was prodded that he realized he wasn’t the only one who reacted. Si Ye did too.
Swallowing hard, Chen Xu, trembling yet boldly, offered to help.
Si Ye asked him, “Aren’t you afraid?”
Chen Xu glanced at the area that was clearly different from his own even through the fabric. With a headstrong tone, he said, “Not afraid.”
Si Ye, with a hint of amusement, pecked the mole on Chen Xu’s nose. “Little liar.”
Si Ye cleaned him up and tucked him into bed, then went to the bathroom. Shortly after Si Ye went in, Chen Xu fell into a deep sleep.
When Si Ye came out of the bathroom, there was only a little piglet sleeping soundly. Its head was buried in the blanket, seemingly unbothered.
Gently lying down next to Chen Xu, Si Ye pulled back the blanket and embraced him, planting a gentle kiss on his forehead. Today was probably the happiest day of his life, spanning two lifetimes.
After freshening up, Chen Xu pushed open the door and saw Si Ye in the bedroom. His face suddenly turned red, awkwardly stiffening in place, his toes curling up.
Si Ye was no different from usual, still calm and gentle as he spoke to Chen Xu, asking if he wanted to have breakfast in the bedroom or go downstairs to the restaurant.
Thinking that the restaurant would be busier and more spacious, easing the awkwardness, Chen Xu replied that he wanted to go downstairs.
“The wind is strong on the island. Put on a coat before you go out.” Si Ye took a windbreaker from the wardrobe and draped it over Chen Xu’s shoulders.
His sudden closeness made Chen Xu stiff all over, his scalp tingling. “Th-thank you, Uncle Si.”
Si Ye lowered his gaze and stared at Chen Xu for a while. “You’re welcome. Go on, I still have some things to do. I’ll come down to join you later.”
Chen Xu felt like he had been pardoned, hastily pulling the windbreaker over his shoulders and awkwardly making his way out.
In the restaurant, Si Jing was wearing a face mask and eating a vegetable salad. Seeing Chen Xu come down, she raised her eyelids to glance at him.
“Good morning, Auntie,” Chen Xu greeted politely before sitting down.
Si Jing paused with her fork, teasingly saying, “You’re Si Ye’s wife now. Why are you still calling me Auntie?”
Chen Xu’s expression flickered at her words. Changing his address, he said, “Sister Jing.”
Si Jing looked at Chen Xu with interest, and Chen Xu remained unmoved, allowing her to scrutinize him. Picking up the tablet, he quickly ordered breakfast.
After ordering, Chen Xu asked the servant if Si Ye had already eaten breakfast.
“The master has already had breakfast.”
“Mm.” Chen Xu glanced at his phone. It was almost ten o’clock. According to Si Ye’s schedule, he would have eaten breakfast already. Chen Xu’s question was unnecessary.
After the servant left, Si Jing stared at Chen Xu’s face for a while, leaned forward, and asked, “Is Si Ye good at it? After being a monk for so many years, does he know what to do?”
Chen Xu frowned uncomfortably at her question. Who blatantly inquired about someone else’s bedroom matters, especially when Si Ye was Si Jing’s cousin.
Seeing Chen Xu silent, Si Jing grew even more curious. “I thought only Si Ye was a stickler for tradition. I didn’t expect you, at only eighteen, to be the same. So what if you’re still young? Living without experiencing certain things would be too miserable for you.”
Chen Xu suddenly remembered Wei Shifeng and Tao Minzhi’s affair. Did Si Jing know about it?
