After Little Baozi was discharged from the hospital, Wen Biyan brought the father and son back home, feeling like he was the winner in life with a wife and son.
Having been a vegetarian for several years, Wen Biyan tried hard to control himself but couldn’t resist touching Gu Xi’s bed on the first day back home.
“No condom, not allowed,” Gu Xi said as Wen Biyan pounced on him and kissed him all over. “I’ll clean up for you.”
“Your skills aren’t good,” Gu Xi firmly refused, afraid of getting pregnant again.
“My skills aren’t good?” Wen Biyan’s expression momentarily blanked, “But you used to say otherwise?”
“… Post-action clean-up skills.” Were you treating yourself as Monkey King with five fingers?
Wen Biyan stubbornly stayed on top of Gu Xi, wanting to do it but not wanting to leave him to buy condoms. He rubbed against Gu Xi for a while in frustration. “Then let me rub against you first.”
…
Gu Xi went to the supermarket to buy groceries and calmly picked up two boxes of condoms at the checkout counter.
As soon as he stepped out, his face turned red to the neck. He rubbed his cheeks, took a deep breath, and raised his head only to see Whairman Wen’s car parked on the side of the road, with an elite-looking secretary politely inviting him into the car.
Everything was like four years ago.
Chairman Wen stood with his hands behind his back and straightforwardly told him, “I won’t do anything to you, but you need to understand, Biyan wants to enter the entertainment industry. Without the strong support of the Wen Group behind him, what do you think he can achieve with his temperament? Will he be exploited? Banned from fighting? After being blacklisted by the entire internet, will he be sidelined?”
“I consider myself an enlightened parent. Even if he enters the entertainment industry, I won’t interfere, but this one thing, I can’t allow.”
“Biyan has never suffered since he was young. Can you bear to watch him suffer in the entertainment industry? Are you sure he will be the same as he was back then, or as he is now?” Chairman Wen smirked. “Perhaps you can persuade him to give up.”
Similarly inexperienced in life’s trials, Gu Xi, threatened both overtly and subtly, had a chink in his psychological armor. Their relationship with Wen Biyan seemed even more difficult after that, until they broke up.
But things are different now.
Gu Xi looked at the antique table in front of him, where the wisps of tea smoke rose gracefully, time lending a sense of stability, a sense of accomplishment. Neither he nor Wen Biyan were inexperienced youths anymore.
Chairman Wen pulled out a card with a stern face. “One billion.”
Gu Xi remained unmoved.
Not satisfied?
Chairman Wen also felt that it was indeed not sincere enough. He pulled out another card. “Three billion.”
The secretary brought a stack of documents and laid them out in front of Gu Xi one by one.
“Wen Shu is still young. These property rights need to be transferred. Daughter-in-law, can you sign them for him?”
Daughter-in-law?
Gu Xi: ???
Chairman Wen, eager to lay hands on the family assets, asked, “Can I see my grandson?” It was harder for Wen Biyan to hand something over than to kill him. Chairman Wen had to handle it himself.
Gu Xi found his voice again. “Please take these things back.”
“You keep them. Consider it my apology for my past rudeness.”
With the situation as it was, Gu Xi couldn’t refuse. He temporarily accepted them, intending to return them to Wen Biyan when the time was right.
On the other side, Wen Biyan didn’t believe the breakup reason, it was so abrupt. When he saw the diary at Gu Xi’s house, he had a thought and immediately flipped to four years ago when he peeked into it.
He had never realized how bad Gu Xi’s emotions were during that time. It was evident in every word and line, yet he was too preoccupied with his own jealousy.
Gu Xi briefly recorded the conversation with Wen’s father, without going into detail. Relying on his strong imagination and knowledge of idol dramas, Wen Biyan fabricated the entire process.
He slammed the diary shut, eager to see Gu Xi.
As a public figure, Wen Biyan didn’t conscientiously wear a mask. He dashed out to find someone. He didn’t find them at the supermarket, but when he turned his head, he saw Wen’s father’s car parked in front of the teahouse.
He panicked and immediately looked for someone, then saw the secretary standing at the door. With anger in his steps, he forcefully opened the door. “What are you planning to do to him again?”
Gu Xi was about to come out with Chairman Wen, planning to go home and wait for their little bundle of joy to finish kindergarten. When he saw Wen Biyan, he was taken aback.
Wen Biyan’s gaze immediately fell on what Gu Xi was holding: a vegetable basket containing a folder and two bank cards.
He immediately flew into a rage, snatching Gu Xi’s basket. “You’re not allowed to take his things. Never, I won’t break up!”
Wen Biyan picked out the “dangerous items” from the basket one by one and threw them to the ground.
“What’s this?”
He threw away the folder.
“And this?”
He threw away the bank cards.
“Gu Xi! Tell me what this is?!” Wen Biyan threw out anything from the basket that didn’t belong in the kitchen, finally crushing a box in his hand.
Gu Xi looked up and saw Wen Biyan holding up the things he was questioning, feeling a bit dizzy.
It’s a con-dom, idiot.
