PAGBWMH : Chapter 95 – Extra

Extra

The Gu and Wei families went on another outing together with their children. On this sunny and bright day, the two families set out on a yacht to enjoy fishing, barbecuing, and chatting while the children played with water guns.

At ten years old, Gu Yao was the oldest among the children. His looks perfectly inherited the best features of both Gu Yueshan and Yi Wei, and his personality was a blend of the two. Even at just ten, his appearance and demeanor exuded a charm that captivated those around him. Sun Qi often remarked that when this child grew up, he would surely break countless hearts.

The youngest was the Wei family’s third child, who was not yet two years old. While the other kids were playing, he lazily clung to Sun Qi’s arms.

Yi Wei was applying sunscreen to his and Gu Yueshan’s third son, five-year-old Gu Huan. After finishing, he patted Gu Huan’s sun-kissed cheeks and sent him off to play with his brothers.

Sun Qi, holding the nearly asleep third child, sat under a sun umbrella with Yi Wei, chatting about recent events. Meanwhile, Gu Yueshan and Wei Nanfeng, wearing sunglasses, were fishing and casually talking. On the yacht, the bodyguards kept a close eye on the children, ensuring they were never out of sight for more than three seconds.

Wei Li, the second child of the Wei family, also known as “Er Bao,” sat down after playing for over an hour and said, “Brother Yao, I’m hungry.”

“Let’s go take a shower and grab something to eat,” Gu Yao said, sitting down as well. He then waved over Wei Zhao, Gu Hao, and Gu Huan to join them.

When the three arrived, Wei Zhao asked, “Are we done playing?”

“Let’s take a break and eat something,” Gu Yao said, standing up. “First, go shower and change.”

Wei Zhao raised his water gun and squirted Wei Li, who was still sitting on the ground, right in the face.

Wei Li immediately got angry and shouted, “Brother Yao, help me hold him down!”

The Wei twins had grown up bickering and playing like this, and all the children from both families were used to it. Gu Yao walked over, pinned Wei Zhao down, and let Wei Li squirt water in his face for a while to vent his frustration before letting him go.

The five children showered, changed, and then sat down next to Yi Wei and Sun Qi to eat.

Gu Yao finished eating quickly and went to sit beside Gu Yueshan to watch his father fish.

Yi Wei reached out and ruffled Wei Li’s hair, asking, “Er Bao, are you sleepy?”

Wei Li, still munching on his food, nodded. He was indeed a bit tired, and he was used to Yi Wei being able to read his thoughts and state of mind so easily.

“After you finish eating, go take a nap with your brother,” Sun Qi said, holding the already asleep third child.

“I want to sleep here,” Wei Li said, clinging to Yi Wei’s arm.

Since there was plenty of space, Yi Wei had someone bring out a folding double bed and set up a large sunshade so the children who wanted to nap could rest. Although the sun was strong, the sea breeze kept things cool. Yi Wei had someone fetch thin blankets to cover the children’s stomachs. Wei Li fell asleep almost as soon as he lay down. Sun Qi placed the sleeping third child next to Wei Li, letting them nap together, then kissed Wei Li’s beautiful little face.

“This child has always been clingy with you. He’s such a well-behaved baby in front of you, but at home, he and his brother can tear the house apart. They fight every day, and only then do they feel satisfied,” Sun Qi said.

Although the Wei twins had always been rough with each other, they shared a deep bond. Wei Li had always been attached to Yi Wei, and Yi Wei adored Wei Li, treating both him and Wei Zhao as if they were his own children. Wei Li and Wei Zhao even had their own rooms at the Gu residence and sometimes stayed over. Yi Wei often felt that Wei Li might truly become a part of their family in the future.

Yi Wei turned to look at Gu Yueshan, Gu Yao, Gu Hao, and Gu Huan sitting side by side. The sight of the four of them, from tallest to shortest, was incredibly endearing, and Yi Wei couldn’t help but smile. Yi Wei was now fully immersed in enjoying life, feeling happy every day and cherishing each moment of that happiness.

__

Xu Hua had passed away three years ago. Gu Heng, after getting drunk, had fallen from a height and broken his leg. He still suffered from severe mental issues, living in a daze and often experiencing hallucinations. While he lacked nothing materially, he endured great mental torment.

Yi Bo remained in a vegetative state and had yet to wake up. Zhao Zhen, increasingly irritable due to Yi Bo’s condition, made life difficult for Yi Xuan, who struggled both inside and outside the Yi family. He had left and returned several times, caught in a cycle of pain and frustration.

After spending two days at the LaiHai Villa, they returned home. Work and studies resumed, and the affairs of others no longer concerned them. Their lives continued on.

At night, Yi Wei lay in Gu Yueshan’s arms, letting out a contented sigh. The feeling of being surrounded by happiness was simply wonderful, and he knew he would never tire of this life.
